Rain at the Waterfront

The weekend was a rainy one. Sites all around Louisville included rain panchos and umbrellas for the 4th. Growing up in Kentucky, I was pretty certain that if a day, a weekend started out with clouds those clouds would gather and make the valley their home for a day or so. Those clouds would also provide rain (which contributes to that beautiful blue grass that natives take pride in). I knew that my last shoot on Sunday would be cloudy or cancelled. Luckily it was cloudy with just a hint of sprinkles. My cousin Seth, Jackie, and family met me for a family shoot. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive as it was very gray, there were leftovers of 4th of July celebration including less than attractive tents and stages. When life presents lemons you make lemonade and add lots of sugar. That's what we did, we made some GOOODDD lemonade. I like to think this is my very urban family shoot. I liked it, hope they did too:)

About Me

There is so much joy and love in life, its not always perfect but its there. At any opportunity that comes my way, at any stage of life I feel blessed to be able to capture it. Capturing your lives as they are now touches me. It shows strength through trials, love for family, joy for celebration, the beauty of growth and the fun in just everyday relationships. With that being said, I love what I do and have a blast doing it! Visit my website www.jessieophotography.com
