Goin' down down downtown

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Bryan and Dene' for an engagement shoot in one of my favorite spots, ahem, downtown St. Pete.  We literally ran from the rain.  Where the rain was at the second we were there on the other side.  The night ended GREAT at the pier, and the couple wasn't half bad either:), infact they were awesome!  Here are few of my favorites from that day!

Windy Beach Day with Miss Claire!

Alot can go wrong on an August Day shoot.  One: It can be so hot that sweat shows up on skin and clothes. Two: The sun can be extremely harsh and cause major shadows on one side of the face while over exposing the otherside, that can be avoided but is more difficult with children running about.  Three: The Heavens may decide to open up and let down some massive raindrops that will knock you down.  Four: lightning storms come and go, recent experience taught me that you don't wanna mess with those.  Five, it can be extremely windy.  Windy, I will take.  And it was on this day with Claire.  If it were an adult, it might look a little much but with Claire, it added a lil spunk to an already spunky lil child.  Here are a few from that fun, windy day!  She is only two but looks SO MUCH older to me!

Concert in Cocoa

Everyone who knows me, knows that I love a good concert.  When I heard the Jackie Greene band was gonna be in Cocoa, I jumped at the chance to go.  If you haven't heard of the guy, go look up his music, but just a suggestion, start with his older albums and work your way up to his latest....those bluesy rock tunes will pull you in!  He's goooodddd...I also rarely get to bring my camera around, so to my delight, I was allowed.  Here are a few.  They opened for Gov't Mule, a first for me to see those guys, can't say I could complain.  Despite the rain, it was a GREAT concert/night!

Downtown Louisville and some munchkins.

When I go back to Kentucky, I always hope to have a shoot downtown or somewhere around there.  It just has this cool feeling (or culture) about it.  The buildings are older and aside from a few skyrises they are unique and not as corporate looking as some downtowns.  We ventured down there with some of my favorite subjects and finished up in Mt. Washington. Here are a few!

Whenever I am around, my sister says Ella breaks out her camera, what a fine compliment!
The Family together!
"Hey Ella, pose for us would ya?!"  Sure Aunt Jessie, no direction, she is a natural..that or I have been bossing her around on poses for so long she just knows.
We are bestfriends, he is just too young to know it yet!
This happens when I leave :).What you don't see is my sad face too!
