Extra Extra

So its 12:30 in the a.m. and I should be sleeping having a before dawn wakeup call to be at my out of town location by 6:30. I should be but a neighbor has the consistant boom boom boom leaking from their respected home through my walls keeping me alert. What's a girl to do? Storm out angrily wailing about threatening to call the cops? Nope, did that last week and it didn't work...instead,I decided if this were to happen again I will just be productive until the boom boom boom stops and I can sleep. Here I am. Thinking in detail about details. Deciding it should be best to turn my grumpy tiredness into happy wedding details.
Well, here they are, some details I captured that I like minus some of the obvious (cake, dress, flowers, tux). It's nice to step back and look at some of the details that we hadn't noticed before. So much thought goes into it! I think these are note worthy.

For the guests: A polaroid and some props....keeps them entertained while formals and bride/groom portrait session is goin' down! They will love it! These folks did!

Live music for the ceromony? Yes please.

Something old....grandma's hanky or grandpa's Bible...or both.

This outfit for the ring bearer is perfect....easy breezy for the boy to wear.

A simple bridesmaid dress + broche = just enough!

Cute kids in the wedding gives the ultimate 'awweee' factor! You hear it every time
Personalized totes....Personalized anything, makes it very, er, personable.

A heartfelt thankyou tied to a heartfelt gift.

I think the Flower in the hair is just beautiful. free. delicate.
You need a lil something something to make you feel sassy.... I thought this was clever.
Cute buckets and tins are useful and cute. At least I think so!
Oops! How did that get in there?! I guess you could say location is a great detail!

Center pieces are perfect! The just bring so much life to a reception AND its something they set such a great tone for the evening!

Name tags.... I placed them just so but you get the idea...they are cute and for guests...extra special!

One Great Wedding

You know, location really isn't everything for a wedding, but sure does help tremendously! I worked with Sarah for a Tampa wedding....and to our delight we were welcomed with a three faced mirror and beautiful mahogany wood in the room the ladies were getting ready in. The church they had the ceremony in was nice, the courtyard and lighting made at least my job (Sarah rocks so she doesn't struggle with it like I do) a LOT easier. I thought it couldn't get any better until we arrived at the reception....The dance floor overlooked downtown Tampa and the bay. WHAT?! Not to mention the bride and the groom were phenominal to work with. It was a great Saturday. This is a taste of that night!
This may ruin me BUT I added some new songs, don't hate my need for some KC and JoJo as well as Michael Jackson... who doesn't like Michael Jackson (at least one point in their life)?! If you don't like it...well, there is a mute button somewhere on your computer, you can use it.

House of Mirrors...which one is really Amanda??

Looking at his wifey to be for the first time all day! Love it!

This one is my favorite...

I feel so blessed to be able to work at all the great locations with the most beautiful backdrops...That is the city of Tampa and the bay behind them!

This kiddo really knew how to breakdance....his dad said 'I had know clue that my child was so talented' ha!

The Morning Commute.

One of my many faults in life is that I am an extreme night owl and huge grump in the mornings. I don't do mornings. So you could imagine that my current job is killer for me, requiring me to wake up anywhere from 4 to 6 in the morning, unheardof!! I may complain about it, but it has been a great experience to see what the dawn looks like.....no really, I didn't know.
Today, I took my groggy self to Haines City for a shoot.....I was welcomed by an incredible sunrise. I grabbed my camera, pulled over to the side of the highway and ignored the honks as I click click clicked.... One day, I will wake to a sunrise without having to be forced too...it's beautiful.

I had to show it in color too!

A Sunday Celebration.

On Sunday afternoon (yes mom I made it to church service beforehand:)), I helped shoot a wedding in Davis Island (which I love!) We started at the Embassy Suites, when you looked out the window you could see Davis Island AND Tampa Bay. I need to take a picture at how beautiful it is next time round~ Here are some shots that I worked on this week!

Being the shoe buff that I am (ahem) I loved these shoes!

What a trooper to act all GQ~

Right before their first kiss...All together now - 'awww'
I like this one.
I thought about taking a bite but I refrained.....no icing for this girl, the cake looked good!
