Picture Time in Louisville

My first week in Louisville has been a bit of a whirlwind. On top of family outings that seem to start at 8a.m. when the kids wake up and end around oh say 10:00 when they fall asleep, I have been shooting and editing and ahem, blogging. I should leave the blogging out but it seems that I have not finished my job until I have blogged about it. I lose sleep when I don't finish what I start.
So, without further adieu, I would like to introduce to all the twins that are in love with water and may just as well have been mermaids in another life. These twins are Tate and Campbell. We went to this park in L-ville (Louisville may I call you L-ville? I can? OK thanks.) A park that I am way too familiar with growing up, called Cherokee park. As I masked in the memories I was brought back to the beautiful orangey (orange may I call you orangey? OK thanks.)evening light. It reminded me of Florida. And the twins, dressed in high toddler fashion were roaring ready to go (literally).
We found a creek and it was all slip, sliding, falling, catching, laughing and crying from there! I had a blast with the twins... not to mention Racheal and Josh were as laid back as laid back will come. I was all 'may we take the kiddos into the creek, as in - into the water' and they were all 'uh sure, we can do that'. Here are a few sample shots I edited tonight, ok gotta crash, 4 hours of sleep is much better than none!!! Have a fabulous weekend.

The McPherson's

It's about 3:15 in the morning. The only time I can really work here in the Orthober household, it's crazy here from 7:30 am till about 10:30 pm. The whole family is sawing logs as I finish up some family shoots. I come here on vacation to work but don't mind it. Selfishly, I excited I get to have pictures of my nieces and nephews without having to wait till christmas. This, is my sister's kiddos: Taylor, Luke and Ella. I just love them and miss them SO much in Florida. You can imagine I am having a blast getting some Auntie time in! Here are a couple of pictures for ya...Enjoy your weekend!

Meet Alayna and Ashton!

Day one in Kentucky turned out to be -well- a rainy one! I was scheduled for a Monday morning shoot at Papa John's park, but as we drove over thunder clapped and big ole raindrops fell, they held no mercy. We turned around just to come back the next day. Hot and more hot, oh and Florida style humid. I am all 'oh no biggie, I can work with this... But can the kids?' The actually were doing better than me. Sweat smeared my sorry excuse for makeup and I was thirsty. The kids, well they ran, threw rocks, smiled, ran, quacked at ducks, and ran some more. WHEW! Here is a sneak peak of these cute (I am biased) kiddos!! Most of these are of their findings at the park - gotta have a theme yo!
