Just a Couple More Kentucky Sneak Peaks!!

As my time comes to a close here in Kentucky and the real editing begins (real excited to go through these photoshoots) I just had to grab some images from the last two photoshoots to share.  I knew Justin and Sarah (brother/sister) since 7th grade...one of my closest childhood friend's is related to them and since I practically lived at her house, I was around them quite abit growing up.  Sarah married Zach who I knew through Ohio camp and am fairly certain I can rummage through one of my old drawers right now and find a group picture of a bunch of us at camp with Zach in it.  Justin married Kylie. Kylie, bless her heart, had to deal with my college immaturity along with her roommate receiving countless amounts of pranks/jokes that I thought were clever, ahem, back then.  I was very excited to see them and honored to have the opportunity to have a photoshoot with each family.  Since they are related (ok people, it's Kentucky but let's not get weird....Just talking about Justin and Sarah) I wanted to combine the photoshoots...what was really neat about this session was that it was Sarah and Justin's grandparent's house (or should I say Audrey and Anderson's great grandparent's house) so there is a sweet sentiment in the background of every shot.

Psst, Jessie, time to shut it down. Ok Anderson, I will give it a rest...for now.  Have a Happy New Year Folks!!!!

Laura and Aaron at the Olmstead Sneak Peak!

They met when they were young, very young. In fourth grade, a crush started. The crush was followed by a very sweet and innocent bracelet from Aaron to Laura on Valentines' Day. The bracelet dated back to 1994. Years passed and they went different ways, but Laura kept that bracelet only to wear it on their wedding day 17 years later.  I was thrilled to be a part of this very special day, they are both great folks and great together, here are the first few I got my hands on! Have a very Merry Christmas!

 Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Facades and Louisville

Going home for me is bittersweet.  Sweet because I get to see the fam and folks I haven't seen in a while, bitter because of the cold, you know.  Florida's 60 degree weather is cold enough... It's great to be home, and the change of scenery is nice also...  I got to check out a site I hadn't scene before in Louisville. One was the cavern, I didn't even know that place existed. Cars were lined up on a Tuesday evening just to get in the Mega Cavern to see the walls lit with festive lights.  The other was a facade on the way to Riverfront Park, placed in the middle of a two lane road.. Such a great spot for a photoshoot. Thankyou Louisville for a new option for me, and Glenda for finding it. :) It was a fun family shoot for this family of four!

The Beautiful Ava Featuring a Coat and Hat 57 Years Older than Her!!!

I was super excited about this shoot, not just because lil Miss Ava was in it but also because we were using a very vintage coat and hat that dates back 59 years....Ava's mom wore it AS WELL AS her mom's mom (grandma) when they were her age. Anything that has history and is meaningful is one of the biggest bonuses a photographer can grab!  The pictures hold a greater significance and beauty about them...They tell more of a story than any photographer or individual could.  I have to say, Miss Ava fit the bill so perfectly, she did steal the show. I loved this day so much, and hope to have many more like this after!!! Here are some of my fav's of that day!

 Vintage.

This is my fav, I love all things black and white anyway!

If any pictures reminded me of the story 'Little Red Riding Hood' this would be it, Ava is pointing to Grandma's house! Wonder if it's surrounded by palm trees :)
