90 and just as fiesty as ever!

As my birthday is nearing and I am saying good-bye to my twenties (tear), I can't help but stress over getting older and older and older.  I had been agonizing over the thought 'aging is no fun' for the past several weeks, but then I met George.  I was asked to photograph his surprise birthday celebration.  A celebration of a gentleman who is blessed to live a long, healthy life. He turned 90 and was happy about it.  Watching him with his friends and family, you could just see all the stories of his life unfold in that one room.  Makes me feel silly for being upset for getting older, it should be embraced, so when you look back you will see your blessings, blessings of life....here are a few from that day!

Lorrie, Tyler, Farrah and introducing Roxy!

It was a hot June day.  I walked out of my car and sweat beads already started to form. 'Oh great,' I thought 'I am gonna look unprofessional even before I start!'  Well, that wasn't really necessary, luckily, I met Lorie several months before, this wasn't their first family session AND they are so easy going I forgot about the heat (well, kinda forgot about the heat, you just try to get used to it really). Their lil family unit is just great and they brought along their dog, Roxy! Poor Roxy was about to pass out by the end of it!  Here are a few pictures I started to edit, have a great Hump Day (Wednesday, people, Wednesday)

So I took a little trip, and the trip I took was to North Carolina and Savannah.  Let me just say this, we always say 'I want to go to Europe or some place exotic'.....well, I still want to do all those things. BUT, there are some GREAT beauties that America has to offer.  Here are just a smiggen (sp?) I love our beauties that we have to offer and though we aren't 'old' as in biblical or ancestry, we are still beautiful, and this is just a couple of spots(of millions upon millions in America).....Seriously!  We are a beautiful country inside and out, only if we collectively choose to be that is!

St.Petersburg, FL and one other spot on the way to North Florida.

I just heart him.

This is lil Hudson...obviously the boy is on the ole blog a tremendous amount because he is just like a nephew to me... my own nieces and nephews don't live near me, sadly, to have the same amount of camera love (well, maybe good for them, they don't have to deal with the endless 'ok now smile for me child') but this boy does.  I think he should be a model personally, so here are my babysitting/modelling session adventures.  Lucky Liz or unlucky Hudson, whichever way you look at it...he obviously loves to pose:)

Just started crawling after a couple days of this pic!! Go Hudson!!

Liz might repremand me for this one, but I love it....
This is my favorite, it is going on my wall next to my nieces and nephews!
Meet Guster.  He is protective of Hudson, one slight cry and this guy is next to his side making sure he is A-ok.

About Me

There is so much joy and love in life, its not always perfect but its there. At any opportunity that comes my way, at any stage of life I feel blessed to be able to capture it. Capturing your lives as they are now touches me. It shows strength through trials, love for family, joy for celebration, the beauty of growth and the fun in just everyday relationships.
