I met Nathan in college. We all buddied around the same crowds, I really appreciated his knack for finding free things, great deals and getting folks into events for free. Seriously, he would push the envelope to the point I believe chicfila caught on to him always getting a free sandwich, his picture may have been up in the back room somewhere under the 'don't take coupons from this guy' wall. It's great having a friend like that, you get to reap the benefits without having to do any of the work. :)
Around the same time in college, I started to attend church close by and met/become close with some of the high school gals, one being a sweet young lady named Holly. Now, I don't think they knew each other at the time, but I take pride that I knew both of them separately, way back when.
Fast forward several years. Nathan started attending the church I once attended way back when, I know I know, some folks reading this may think 'really, Jess, it wasn't that long ago..' 10 years isn't yesterday though. Anyway, back to the story, Nathan met Holly or I think maybe Holly walked right up and met Nathan. They became fast friends, sharing a great love for the Lightning (who could blame them?!). As luck would have it, Nathan had to move back to Canada, poor guy was deported back to his home country...Holly and Nathan kept that relationship of theirs going however, and last year Nathan surprised Holly by flying down to FL and asked her to marry him at a hockey game, she had no idea he was even there. It was caught on video, really cool way to propose Nathan, bravo. If I find the link, I will post it!
I had the great pleasure of documenting their big day, and let me tell you, It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding. My favorite part had to have been when we were all praising God together singing 'In Christ Alone' the way the chapel was made the acoustics were amazing, the moment itself was truly amazing. Thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding day guys! Here is the sneak peak!
I couldn't hold back, I had to post this!!
A BIG THANK YOU to Vicki Brake for her help and this photo, one of my favorites!!
I was about to rudely interrupt there guests to 'move it!' But Holly and Nathan liked the idea of their guests behind them. Shortly after these few pictures, I yelled out the crowd to skedaddle anyway, just for the sake of being mean:)
